I was going to post this as a follow-up to a discussion where someone (Ehud, I think) mentioned how popular Excel was, but I can't find the thread (searching turns up loads of hits). Hopefully the discussion didn't include it already - http://www.dashes.com/anil/2004/04/22/excel_pile#comments
Apologies if you've already seen it. What amazes me is that many of the people obviously know about SQL, yet...

What amazes me is that many of the people obviously know about SQL, yet...
Meaning it's actually easier to track groceries' list using INSERTs and UPDATEs than typing data into the spreadsheet? ;-)
I may be not geeky enough, but I would have to strain my cognitive facilities for doing that in SQL.
