For those that like to keep up with the bleeding edge standards processes, the EJB 2 spec has finally gotten a step further. It's been hung up for a while on issues related to optimization that were being implemented differently by all the EJB vendors.
Hopefully it will get back on track, as message driven beans provides some useful functionality.
