Scheme Tutorial (book) |
I asked around comp.lang.scheme for Scheme tutorials, as I need something to perpare students for EOPL . I was directed to this great online resource. It seems too much for my needs (I want a short tutorial), but I thought Lambda readers may find it interesting.
If you have suggestions of other Scheme intros, please let me know.

I haven't had time to do much with Scheme, but a knowledgeable friend of mine suggested Dr Scheme as being very friendly and instructive for beginners to the language.

It is a great devl env., and the book is very good. Too lnegthy for my purposes, though. I want a short and quick intro.
It seems that the "How to design programs" book is aimed at beginners, and it delas with pragmatics of software design and engineering (like abstraction) and paradigmatic issues. These are, of course, important topics. In fact my book in writing is about abstraction techniques. However, for my current needs I am look for a short technical intro to scheme.
