A comparison of Perl, PHP and Ruby. Simple code snippets for common tasks (print the number of times the word 'fish' appears in file 'f.txt', print out every directory in root etc.)
Maybe brevity is the soul of wit, but I don't think character counting is a great measure for programming languages (or program complexity).
Still this may be interesting, esp. if you are familiar with just one or two of the three languages used.
