Summer schools: generic & functional programming
To be held in Oxford, August 2002: Advanced Functional Programming and Generic Programming.

Some really cool stuff (most of it things we talked about at length here on LtU): categories, folds, corecursion (unfolds), CGI & continutations (DrScheme), Jocaml (join calculus) and more.

I am sure others will have interesting comments on the program.

(Frank, are you going to be there?)

We'll have to see. Johan Jeuring, my supervisor, is one of the organizers, so perhaps. Is anyone else here going? That might motivate me more...

I am thinking about it (that's why I asked...)

The FP program looks more interesting than th GP program, but in general GP interests me more. Maybe I'll be able to find the time to attend both.

It's a long time since I've been to Oxford, so I am tempted to go.
