There´s a long article on Fortune about the future of Microsoft - it doesn´t mention languages at all. Is this just because languages are a tool that consumers don´t see, or is the real source of innovation in computing elsewhere? (OK, so Longhorn may not be that big an innovation - sounds like the little I know of BeOS, for example - but I was still a bit surprised to find no mention of languages)
