One of the most significant contributors to computer science,
Edsger Wybe Dijkstra,
has died. Go and study his lecture notes and stop using
that GOTO! ;-)

I am not aware of any other than the LWN source and the forwarded e-mail I got. The message that I received was forwarded by a guy on #haskell IRC channel, who was one of a quite large subscription list. It would be, of course, quite rude to spread such rumours if it weren't true.
