Smalltalk lecture notes
These seem like a good intro to what Smalltalk is all about. And since OOP is all about Smalltalk, you should at least know the basics to feel confident in these OO days

One bonus for people with Ada background (like me!) is the "Smalltalk for Ada programmers" section at the end. Not really illuminating if you already know the Smalltalk terms, but a good place to start learning them, if you come from Ada.

I should thank you guys for directing me to Squeak. It is great fun.

Don't know if it helps, but I composed some notes on Smalltalk and Squeak. It's mostly just exercising various aspects of the language and I just use it to refresh my memory on how to do various things in the language.
