This site has a draft of a new text book and other information towards teaching computer programming as a unified discipline with a practical scientific foundation.

The appoach is in the spirit, and an expansion on the ideas, of Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs.

The foundation is the Mozart system using the Oz language, but also brings in concrete connections with Java, Prolog, Erlang, Haskell, and others.

Well done.

Thanks for the link - I was sure some aspects of Mozart had been discussed, but a quick search did not turn up anything. I didn't try hard enough.
