The Vesta System Description Language is a functional programming language used to define the instructions for the automated processing of source files through a series of tools (i.e. building a program from source code).

Vesta is a mature, portable SCM system targeted at supporting development of software systems of almost any size, from fairly small (under 10,000 source lines) to very large (10,000,000 source lines).
