If anyone has more posts like this I find them very interesting - I asked how ML (not OCaml) worked on .NET at a .NET conference, but no-one could answer me. Maybe I've just misunderstood and the only version of ML on .NET is OCaml (I presumed it was SML/NJ and that functors were being used as sort-of-classes...).
