Earlier we discussed a provocative paper concerning rumors of the death of YACC.

I think this quote sums up one key bit nicely although the more substantive stuff they have to say is also interesting :-)

An implicit failure of the paper is that we didn't convince the peer reviewers that this was a fun, easy way to implement a general parsing library.
