Java is not a hairball - Official
You don't want to create too much bulk and damage the footprint, but the trend in the market has been to more and more services

Not very enlightening, but kind of related to our discussion on first languages.


Too much Java stuff here recently. Are we becoming mainstream?

I think it shouldn't be a question of the particular language; why would a Java article be of less worth than, say, a Mondrian article ? I mean, there are interesting issues related to implementation brought up by Java; for example, language-based handling of threading and synchronization. It would be a shame if a good article in that area went unposted at LtU simply because it was Java and not a lesser known language.

Anyway, just my two cents.

As you can see there is no Java censorship around here. At least, for the moment...
