cdb, A Machine-Independent Debugger |
cdb is a machine-independent debugger for C programs compiled by lcc 4.x, a retargetable compiler for ANSI/ISO Standard C.
Nobody answered my question about implementing debugers. Anyway, I came across this site. Several debuger implementation techniques are mentioned in the paper and presentation.

I don't know how relevant it is, but you may wish to check out Norman Ramsey's work on Debugging Everywhere and ldb.

Interesting papers about debugers are list here. Thanks Christian!
