Doesn't look niche to me

So far, they've covered abstract interpretation, program synthesis with SAT solvers, cryptographically-strong abstractions for programming with cloud storage, security vulnerabilities, and sociology of PL adoption.

That seems pretty far from niche or narrow.

I guess it depends on what direction you are coming from. PL is a pretty wide space, and the name of this blog entices high expectations :)

From any direction, I think their blog covers a wide space. They are academics, but that doesn't seem like a fundamental problem to me. :)
