Esolang Extravaganza

I was just wondering what some of LTU readers' favorite esolangs to mess around with are... There are so many to choose from and so few that are actually implemented. My personal favorite is Brainfuck, coupled with the Brainfuck.NET compiler; it's a great way to keep oneself occupied.

What is your favorite esolang?

Method inlining as a macro system

Hi folks, you might be interested in the blog entry I just wrote, where I talk about the impact of refactoring IDE's on coding style:

DiaGen and DiaPlan

I think that diagram-based languages could be useful someday. So, here they are, The DiaGen - Diagram Editor Generator and Diaplan - a language for programming with diagrams.

MTASC Slides

Hi folks.

Since I guess it might interest some people here, I posted the slides of the presentation I will do at OSCON 2005 on my weblog. The talk is about the MTASC Flash compiler.

The Language Machine - a toolkit for language and grammar

The Language Machine is a free software toolkit for language and grammar: a shared library, main program, and several metalanguage compilers with one frontend. The system is easy to use on its own or as a component. It directly implements unrestricted rule-based grammars with variables, actions and external interfaces. A unique diagram shows rulesets in action. There are several examples, including the website itself.

Anyone know what's going on with scsh?

Several tries to join the mailing list seemingly failed (no replies yea or nay to subscription requests, but a test post never showed up in the archives - but some spam did, after my joins & test posts : ( .

And the entire site has now been unreachable for at least 2 days.

Luke are you reading this? I hope all is well, since emails to you bounce...

Static Typing Where Possible, Dynamic Typing When Needed

Instead of hammering on the differences between
dynamically and statically typed languages, we should
instead strive for a peaceful integration of static and dynamic
aspect in the same language. Static typing where possible, dynamic
typing when needed!

Data is code

Hello everybody

Does anybody know about other languages for which data is code and vice versa than just Lisp (and its dialects) and Rebol? Are there any which support or, even better, encourage concurrency? And last but not least, is 'metamorphic' the proper term to refer to the attribute described above?

Thank you very much in advance

CTM

I have been following LtU for sometime now and finally decided to start with CTM after reading some great reviews. I am stuck with the mozart system. I am using FC3. Was anyone able to run the examples in the book successfully in mozart?

Thanks
