I have about 30 years experience in the IT industry, working as a systems and management consultant.

I have pioneered approaches to model based development, including code generation and model execution techniques, since the late 1980s. Work on tools includes the development of a model compiler for object models built using the Jackson development methodology (JSD), a full application code generator SSADM and, more recently, tools for executing formalisms based on protocol modelling and process algebraic composition techniques.

In 2001, Nick Simons and I founded Metamaxim Ltd, a software and services company specializing in the use of protocol based modelling and model execution.
